Nascosta Incristo, Author of "For This Cause: Against All Odds", receives coveted Book Excellence Award

Brisbane, Australia – July 2019 – Nascosta Incristo‘s For This Cause: Against All Odds wins a Book Excellence Award in the Addiction and Recovery category. Founded in Toronto, Ontario, the Book Excellence Awards is an international book awards competition dedicated to recognising both independent and traditionally published authors and publishers for excellence in writing, design and overall market appeal. Previous Winners and Finalists of the Book Excellence Awards have doubled their book sales, garnered attention from film producers, received distribution in book stores and increased their visibility and media attention.

"I was super excited to learn about my award" says Nascosta. "Drugs are so rampant in our society and families are being ravaged by the epidemic. I felt led to share my story so others can find a way to get out of the rut or help someone caught in addiction. I believe I have found the Answer to everlasting sobriety. It will open peoples eyes to an alternative long lasting solution which will help them stay strong each day going forward. They will relate in many ways compare with their own journeys and be spurred on to give my solution a go."

For This Cause: Against All Odds is about the authors journey from addiction to freedom. "To be a drug addict is to be a slave to a beast that constantly screams to be fed." It's a feeling that Nascosta InCristo discovered as a teenager in Australia, where she grew up feeling ignored by her parents. She began skipping school and found new friends that made her feel loved. It was with them that she took her first toke of marijuana, rolling around on the grass and laughing uncontrollably after smoking it.

In this candid memoir, Nascosta recalls how that first joint led her to a figurative and literal prison. It is a detailed, often graphic account of how drugs were her escape route from the pain of homelessness, a life of crime and prostitution and broken relationships. Most importantly, she reveals how she escaped to a brand new life full of possibilities.

Whether you're a parent, teacher or counsellor seeking to help a troubled loved one, a former drug addict or someone seeking to rediscover the freedom you've lost, you'll be inspired to overcome obstacles with "For This Cause."

The book has already received some great reviews from industry leaders.

"A gripping read! The author takes us on a journey through her years as a drug addict ... and her emergence into wholeness and new life. Her story will reach into the hearts of many and hopefully inspire others to pursue the path to freedom." wrote Janice Mau, former English teacher and author of Samovars & Shashlik
